The state of Illinois is looking to register volunteers in case of a critical catastrophe or public health emergency. Volunteers would register online for a state-wide index labeled as Illinois Helps. The Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council, Illinois Department of Public Health and Chicago Department of Public Health have unveiled a brand new general public service statement to boost recognition of the service. Authorities announce they require simultaneously medical related in addition to non-medical volunteers.

A legal firm announced that it is starting a class-action lawsuit which would involve stakeholders of Chemed Corporation. The complaint stems from news that came forth Nov. 16 of a whistleblower lawsuit alleging that Chemed cheated Medicare. Chemed’s stock fell $6.87 per share, or 11 percent, to close at $50.65 per share that day. San Diego law firm, Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, said it filed the lawsuit on account of an institutional investor in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati.

Emory University’s Goizueta Business School not long ago generously donated studio-equipped video cameras along with a Sony digital video switcher worth around $30,000 for the Central Educational Center’s Broadcast Video program. “CEC has a very strong broadcast video program, and this donation will hopefully be very helpful to these students,” said Alan Pogue, Director of Media Services at the Goizueta Business School.
